Wide Mouth Adapters

We all know that very few things are perfect... Let take a look at the gutter system. Industry standard was to cut a small hole into the bottom of the gutter, use a round or oval insert to attach the downspout, this was to allow water and debris to flow down the downspout. That was an industry standard 30 years ago and people are still installing it today! It works, but it is far from perfect, there is a rim, caulk, fasters all lined up to snag debris and help create clogs.

The last thing a person wants is to have standing water or debris inside their gutters. This can lead to many other issues. If this is happening there is a few possible options of why it is happening. Not enough water or rain to get over the insert installed with your downspout, or there is debris building up at the downspout opening and the water cannot flow through it. Here at Gutter Shutter, we want to revolutionize that standard. The Wide Mouth Outlet Adapter will eliminate both of these issues!

What is the Wide Mouth Outlet Adapter! What this does is allows us to cut a hole in the bottom of the gutter 4 inches by 6 inches. This allows for a smooth transition from the gutter to the downspout. This is as wide as the gutter floor! This opening will ensure that if debris does get into your gutter, it WILL get out.

The design of this Wide Mouth Outlet there are two flanges at the top in the front and the back of the gutter. This allows us to put the screws in the front and the back; no longer will there be screws coming in the side of the downspout opening for debris to get caught up on.

The Wide Mouth Outlet is designed to allow for a big opening at the gutter then taper to the size of the downspout. this gives any debris the time to get in line with the flow of the water, allowing it to fall down the downspout. The Wide Mouth Outlet is made out of 0.32 Guage Aluminum. This is the strongest gauge aluminum used in the gutter industry today. It is color matched to the gutter system. The 4x6 opening creates a 24 square inch opening to allow the max amount of water out of the gutter system.
