While the improvement to this hail damaged open-style gutter system with Gutter Shutter in St. Cloud is clear, this installation showcases well the difference between common 2x3 downspout and our standard 3x4 downspouts. The wide mouth outlet attached to gutter will quadruple the drainage capacity from the trough, ensuring no backups or overflows. You can also see the use of our ledge jumper elbows in the lower section to get past the stone outcropping. Ledge jumpers help us maintain a consistently parallel downspout, which looks much better than the angling of the original downspout section.

  • 50% larger trough size overall

Gutter Shutter Installation in Cold Spring, MN

The homeowners called in while remodeling to explore options for adding gutters onto the new parts of their home. They had an existing hooded system installed on the rest of the home, yet one section was failing to effectively capture water.

After learning about the Gutter Shutter System from our salesman Kevin Feldewerd, they decided it would be a great addition and replacement, opting for the solid hood design for its similar look to the other system.

Clogged Gutters in Cold Spring, MN

A homeowner of Cold Spring was experiencing severe leaking and clogging with his open-style gutters and knew a hooded system was the best solution. We quickly sent out our local salesman, Kevin Feldewerd, to prepare a replacement plan.

The two-story home had significant rafter tails, which the previous gutters rested on and partially damaged, and several poorly placed downspouts. Kevin planned for the installers to repair and paint rafter tails while also cutting small notches to accommodate the larger Gutter Shutter trough. One planned draining improvement was for a 2nd story downspout to feed directly into a 1st story downspout along the same wall, creating a smoother look and much better water flow.

Even in a direct replacement job, we always look for ways to improve the entire gutter system!

Gutter Shutter in Holdingford, MN

A Holdingford homeowner stopped into our office seeking an upgrade to their existing open-gutter system and curious about our ability to install heat tape.

Two days later, our salesman Kevin Feldewerd visited the house to draw up a proposal. The plan was to replace all 82 ft of open gutter with our forest green GutterShutter. One downspout would feed directly into drain tile embedded in the concrete walkway. A second downspout was planned to drop into a rain barrel.

Heat tape was not quoted because we guarantee that GutterShutter will not pull away from your fascia boards due to ice, satisfying the customer. However, we are happy to install heat tape on any system to keep your gutters functioning!

Gutter Shutter in Freeport, MN

After Freeport was hit by extensive storms, Marvin's seamless gutters were due for a replacement. He was recommended our product by a friend and reached out to get more information. Our St. Cloud salesman, Kevin Feldewerd, visited his home to assess the damage and draw up an estimate Marvin could submit to his insurance.

The house needed three gutter runs, the longest of which would be 88 feet! Besides the upgrade to a better gutter system, Kevin offered to add tip-up downspout extensions. Tip-ups make it incredibly easy to raise and lower an extension as needed, for lawn maintenance, avoiding tripping, or to change where the water drops out. Marvin also opted for the solid hood design of the Gutter Shutter system. Each of 4 required downspouts would be equipped with one of our industry-leading wide mouth outlets, doubling the drainage capacity.

Gutter Replacement in Melrose, MN

Storms sweeping through Melrose caused significant damage to Russ' seamless one-piece hooded gutter system. Looking to get another hooded system, he reached out to our office to set up an appointment with salesman Kevin Feldewerd to get his free estimate.

All five runs of gutter, totaling to 157 feet, and their associated downspouts were assessed for replacement. One planned improvement was the addition of our wide mouth outlets, which create an opening in the gutter that is 2x wider than a traditional downspout connection. Upgrading to Gutter Shutter is not just about the gutter itself, every part of the system is designed to create a long-lasting and clog-free gutter that protects your home, guaranteed!

Gutter Shutter in Paynesville, MN

Doug was in the market to put some gutters on a lake home in Paynesville. After calling in and talking with our owner, Jason Borresch, we were able to send out a salesman the next day to give Doug a free estimate.

During his visit, Kevin Feldewerd made sure all of Doug's requests would be accounted for in the proposal. The house only needed three runs of gutter to cover 66 feet of rooflines, each with its own downspout. Tip-up downspout extensions were planned to make it easy to move them out of the way whenever needed. Kevin created a quote for both Gutter Shutter and RainProXL, our premium open-style gutter system, as Doug was not sure what system would work out best for him.

We are always ready to help customers find the perfect gutter solution for their home!

Failing Gutters in Richmond, MN

Norman of Richmond was having serious issues with his gutters. The plastic seamed gutters on his home were essentially decorative because they miserably failed at capturing and moving water. Not only were they poorly installed, but the design of most plastic gutters makes even the smallest damages alter their functionality. This gutter was also located directly above a lakeside deck, leading to damages to the wood.

Our St. Cloud salesman, Kevin Feldewerd, stopped out to measure and create a plan that would best fit the house. The 42 foot run would be our seamless Gutter Shutter system with a downspout on one end. To help protect a set of stairs adjacent to the gutter, we would also add a diverter on the roof to push water further down the roofline.

Here at Gutter Shutter of St. Cloud, we are committed to providing a system that will best serve and protect your home. Give us a call today to see how we can help you!

Clogged Gutters in Sartell, MN

James of Sartell contacted our office with a few gutter problems. His open-style gutters with a screen frequently clogged up near the downspouts, leading to excess water dripping out of the gutter. This was made worse after storms came through the St. Cloud area, leading to hail and tree damages to the system.

Our salesman Kevin Feldewerd was able to stop out the next day to take measurements and help assess the damages. The house design required a total of 21 pieces of gutter to cover all 232 feet of rooflines, some of which was on the 2nd story. With certain overlapping rooflines, several direct cut-into-gutter spots were planned to connect two gutter runs. These precise cuts into the hood allow us to move water between the runs with 100% water capture, rather than just dropping it onto the roof.

Gutter Shutter in Richmond, MN

Storms in Richmond lead to serious damage to Kurt's one-piece seamless gutters. With approval already from insurance, he reached out to our office for his free estimate of a full system replacement. Because the existing system was hooded, Kurt would qualify for a like-for-like replacement and have his upgrade to Gutter Shutter covered.

Our St. Cloud salesman, Kevin Feldewerd, stopped by the next week to draw up a proposal. The 139 feet of roofline only required four pieces of white seamless gutter, each with its own downspout. The existing downspouts were in good enough condition to be re-used, however Kevin planned to add our wide mouth outlets to each. These would allow twice as much water to drain as the existing direct downspout connection, helping the gutters stay clog-free even in the heaviest rain!

Kurt liked the plan, but with Winter approaching the project couldn't be started as the roof needed to be replaced before anything else. We look forward to helping Kurt in the Spring and installing a brand new gutter guard system on his home!

Gutter Shutter Installation in Holdingford, MN

Joe of Holdingford had several pieces of a seamless one-piece hooded gutter system on his house, but reached out to our office looking to get a couple more rooflines covered. Since the gutters were functioning well, he was hoping to have Gutter Shutter capture water higher on the roof and send it right into the lower pieces.

Two days after he reached out, Kevin Feldewerd, our St. Cloud salesman, was able to stop by and draw up a proposal. Because Joe had his plan in mind, Kevin just had to put down on paper the two pieces of gutter that would be needed. Upon installation, 25 feet of Gutter Shutter was put up with downspouts tying into the lower pieces of gutter. In accordance with our standard practice, our installer cut a 3x4 hole in the system's hood to precisely insert the downspout. This ensures 100% of the water makes it into the gutter with little chance of debris interfering.

With the gutters in place, Joe's front and back doors were now completely covered from water running off the roof. Call us today to see how we can help you protect your home!

Gutter Shutter Installation in Sartell, MN

After storms swept through the St. Cloud area, Jodi's open-style gutters in Sartell were not performing well enough and she was ready for an upgrade. A few minutes of searching online brought her to our website and our office got an appointment set up within a week. The plan was for our owner, Jason Borresch, to stop by and create a proposal with a few different installation options for Jodi to decide on. The two-story home with an attached garage had 257 feet of roofline to cover, with at least 100 feet of downspout needed to connect the system and move the water.

The original system was well-planned, so Jason noted that we would replicate the system with a few upgrades in equipment. Adding our wide mouth outlets to each downspout would allow water to drain twice as fast at each location, ensuring no overflow even during heavy rains. Also, to drain some of the second story water to the lower gutters, we would install downspout directly into the gutters, rather than just draining it onto the shingles nearby. This ensures 100% water capture and prevents the buildup of debris on the roof.

These two upgrades, along with Gutter Shutter's inherent qualities of incredible strength and a clog-free guarantee, will allow Jodi to never have to worry about her gutters again!

Gutter Shutter Installation in Melrose, MN

After a tree fell on a homeowner's pole shed, they were left with a damaged roof and a long seamless one-piece gutter that could not function. After a long wait for other repairs and trying to get an exact replacement, they came across Gutter Shutter and wanted to see if it would be a better fit.

Calling into the office lead them to our owner, Jason Borresch, who was more than ready to tell them about Gutter Shutter. A few minutes of conversation allowed Jason to draw up a proposal based on some past paperwork and mailed it out to the homeowner for review. The simple replacement only needed a 53 foot section of Gutter Shutter to be put up.

Once the contract was signed and returned, our production department kicked into gear and quickly got the job in the schedule. After only a couple of hours on-site, the installation crew got the job done and were off to the next task.

Adding More Gutters in St. Cloud, MN

Joe's house in St. Cloud came with two pieces of open-style gutter that were placed only to cover the walkway to the home's front door. They did this job fairly well, yet had some occasional clogs and dripped over the edge. Joe wasn't sure about replacing them but was sure he wanted to add more gutter around the house. He contacted our office and got an appointment set up with our regional salesman, Kevin Feldewerd.

Kevin quickly noticed the problem areas and drew up a plan for placing Gutter Shutter around the house. With overlapping rooflines at the entryway, a higher gutter was dumping a lot of water onto the roof above the lowest piece. This extra water in a valley was just too much for the open gutter. We would install Gutter Shutter on each roofline and connect the pieces with a direct into-gutter connection. This ensures 100% water capture and effective flow as downspout from the higher piece is set through the hood and into the trough of the lower piece. With the entryway replacement planned, Kevin went to the back of the home. We would need 38 feet of gutter to cover the back roofline, protecting a deck and capturing a large amount of water.

A few weeks later, our installation crew made it out to the home and put up all 66 feet of gutter within a few hours. Don't let a bad gutter system lead to preventable problems, contact our office today to find out how Gutter Shutter can protect your home!

Gutter Shutter Storm Damage Replacement in St. Joseph, MN

Craig's seamless one-piece covered gutters in St. Joseph were damaged by a hail storm in the early summer. While they seemed to be functional, he thought it would be the perfect time to upgrade his gutters as the roof was sure to be replaced as well. Our office was contacted by the local contractor to provide a damage assessment and quote for replacement. Kevin Feldewerd, our Minnesota salesman, was ready to make the trip and stopped out on a beautiful summer day.

The first thing Kevin noticed was that there was more to the damage than meets than eye. Even though the hail dents were somewhat small, they can have a big impact because the existing cover was a smooth and curved design. Indentations can lead to improper water flow and pooling, creating overshooting issues and pooling water. We would also be adding in our industry-leading wide mouth outlets, which would double the drainage capacity at each downspout. After several months for the roofing and other repairs to be completed, our installation crew visited Craig's home. A few hours of work lead to all 159 feet of Gutter Shutter being installed all around the house, with 5 downspout locations.

Gutter Shutter Estimate in St. Cloud, MN

Bob in St. Cloud was done with the set of seamed plastic gutters he had installed himself years ago. They consistently separated, leaked, and clogged. Enough was enough for Bob and he took them all down. After seeing our ad in a local newspaper, he gave us a call to learn about our systems. Kevin Feldewerd, our Minnesota salesman, was ready to show off how our products put plastic gutters to shame.

To protect the entire home, 148 feet of gutters across 6 pieces would be needed. Each section would be connected to a downspout with our 4x6 wide mouth outlets, doubling the drainage capacity from the trough compared to standard downspout outlets. One section had a few feet of protruding roofline near the end. Rather than adding a whole new section of Gutter Shutter, we would install a diverter onto the roof to redirect water towards the piece nearby.

Bob wasn't quite ready to move forward with the project, but with a full proposal ready to go he can expedite the process once the right time comes. Gutter Shutter of St. Cloud stands ready to provide every home with its perfectly customized gutter solution, call today to find out about yours!

Gutter Shutter Project in Sauk Centre, MN

The back side of Roz's home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota was not protected by any gutter. The deck and back patio were on the receiving end of water falling from a 2nd story roof, dumping too much water on the wood and concrete. Other parts of the home were equipped with a one-piece seamless covered gutter system, but Roz was curious to learn about the differences in our gutter guard system.

Kevin Feldewerd, our regional salesman, was able to visit the home to draw up a proposal. The 44 feet of roofline would just need one run of Gutter Shutter equipped with a downspout on one side for full protection. The downspout would be installed with our 4x6 wide mouth outlets, doubling the drainage capacity, and a tip-up downspout extension for easy movement. Due to several trees very close to the home, the solid-style hood for Gutter Shutter was selected for extra debris-shedding abilities. After reviewing the plan, Roz signed off on the work and was ready for the install.

Once our production process kicked into gear, our installation crew was visiting the home just over a week later. In a few quick hours of work, the home was equipped with a brand new seamless gutter protection system!

Warehouse Protection in Waite Park, MN

A local business of Waite Park, Minnesota reached out to our office to get a free estimate of placing open-style gutter along the length of a warehouse. With a high volume of water coming off the large metal roof, the asphalt below was showing cracks and better protection was needed for when trucks were pulled in. Gutters were mounted for about 20 feet to cover the entrance door and stairs, but more was needed. Kevin Feldewerd, our regional salesman, was ready to help to draw up a plan.

Kevin recommended the use of our premium open-style gutter system, RainGutters XL, due to few trees being around the commercial building. The large trough size and heavy gauge aluminum used to make RGXL makes it a great candidate to handle the high volume of water off large roofs. A 101-foot piece would need to be used to cover the entire extent of the roofline. To better reinforce the existing metal fascia, we would install 1x6 boards across the length of the structure to create a more secure mount for the gutter to be attached to. A downspout would be placed on each end, one of which would be directed into underground drain tile connected by our specialized adapter.

Storm Damage Gutter Replacement in Avon, MN

The open-style gutter system on Jim's home in Avon, Minnesota was damaged during summer storms that swept through the area. In the search for a dependable seamless gutter system that would hold off the leaves from many trees near the home, Jim came across the Gutter Shutter system and called our office to get a free estimate for a complete gutter replacement. Kevin Feldewerd, our regional salesman, was ready to help Jim out.

Measuring up the home, Kevin found that 271 feet of Gutter Shutter were needed to make it all the way around the house. The single story home had no breaks in the roofline, allowing for an entirely interconnected system. We would utilize 6 outside miters and 3 inside strip miters to create a sealed connection point between two perpendicular runs of gutter to make it past every corner. To effectively drain the entire roof, 5 downspouts would be strategically emplaced around the house. Normal downspout hookups merely do a direct attachment. But here at Gutter Shutter, we use our high capacity wide mouth outlets to maximize the drainage out of the gutter trough and through the downspout.

Once Jim approved all the work, we were able to get a crew out to the home later in the month. One good day of work got all 271 feet of brand new Gutter Shutter mounted and the 82 feet of downspout attached. If your home has gutter problems, Gutter Shutter stands ready to be your Avon gutter company!

Gutter Shutter Deck Protection in Sartell, MN

Lance was searching for a new gutter system to be installed onto the back side of his home in Sartell, Minnesota. With no existing gutter, all the water was dumping right onto the deck and creating marshy ground underneath it. Built up water right next to the foundation was not something Lance wanted to keep around. After coming across our website, he reached out for a free estimate to get his home protected. Kevin Feldewerd, our St. Cloud regional salesman, was ready to measure and draw up a proposal.

To cover the entire backside roofline, a single 39 foot piece of Gutter Shutter would be needed with a single downspout on one end. With our high volume hood and extra large trough capacity, the piece would have no problem capturing and draining all of the roof's water. The downspout would be equipped with a wide mouth outlet, allowing for maximum drainage, and a tip-up downspout extension to enable easy movement during lawn maintenance. Once Lance signed off on the plan, our production team kicked into gear. A crew made it out to Lance's home within a couple weeks and mounted the entire system within a few hours, setting up the house with new gutter protection system.

Gutters don't just help manage rainwater, they protect the very foundation of your home and can prevent most water damage issues when installed correctly. Contact our office today to find out how Gutter Shutter of St. Cloud can help you protect your home!

Full Home Gutter Shutter Estimate in Freeport, MN

The open-style seamless gutters on Jane's home in Freeport, MN were starting to show their wear and tear and filled up easily with leaves. After talking with Jason, our owner, at the St. Cloud Farm Show, she was willing to set up an estimate for a complete gutter replacement. Kevin Feldewerd, our Minnesota salesman, stopped by Jane's home just a few days after the show to take measurements and draw up a full plan.

Jane's seamless gutter system was fully connected around her entire home. All 8 pieces totaled up to 265 feet of roofline that needed to be covered. To properly drain the entire roof's worth of water, 6 downspouts would be installed to replace the old ones. Several would be lined up to directly drain into existing drain tile systems, while the other 3 would be equipped with our tip-up downspout extension to make it easy to lift the extensions off the walkways when needed. Furthermore, every downspout would be attached to the gutter with a wide mouth outlet, doubling the drainage capacity compared to the old downspouts.

Kevin also quoted out an option for us to install a quality gutter cover onto all 265 feet if that was the more feasible route for Jane, yet our downspout replacement plan would stay the same. Whatever the issue is, Gutter Shutter of St. Cloud is in the problem-solving business and will help you protect your home!

Gutter Shutter Home Protection in Freeport, MN

The open-style seamless gutters on Steve's home in Freeport, MN had a rough winter. After a few years of wear and tear, they were finally reaching the end of their useful life. Some pieces were disconnecting from the fascia and falling off. Others were sagging from all the record snow. When Steve came across our booth at the St. Cloud Farm Show, he knew we could help him find a solution. Kevin Feldewerd, our regional salesman, was set for an appointment with him a week later.

With Steve's style of home, only one side of the home really needed seamless gutter protection. The 57 feet of rooflines would need 6 pieces of gutter, with 5 of the 6 being set up with a miter to make it around a corner. One higher 11 foot section of gutter would be connected by downspout along the siding into a lower garage piece. The into-gutter connection would span 10 feet and eliminate an unnecessary downspout while ensuring 100% water capture between the two runs.

Our installer Dylan made it out to Steve's house in mid-may to put this into action. Within a good days work, Dylan put up all 57 feet of seamless Gutter Shutter with 45 feet of the downspout systems. Whatever gutter problem your home is facing, Gutter Shutter of St. Cloud is here to solve it!

Gutter Replacement from Storm Damage

A Contractor reached out to us to replace the gutters on a home they are replacing the roof on. We spoke with the contractor about the needs of the home and homeowners. As this is an insurance claim our design specialist was able to help the contractor get the insurance company to cover the gutter replacement for the Homeowner. A proposal was submitted to the insurance company, and it was denied at first glance. Our Design specialist was persistent to talk with the insurance agent to figure out way they were at a different price then what Gutter Shutter quoted to do the gutter replacement. With some further investigation there was a discrepancy with the footage of gutter that needed to be replaced. Once the specialist and the adjuster talked a little bit more, we were able to get a fair value replacement dollar that covered the gutter installation.

Here at Gutter Shutter our inside sales team is trained to work with the insurance companies and adjuster to obtain a fair replacement value for your insurance claims. We know that it takes a lot of time and effort to communicate with these very busy adjusters and come to an agreement on the deserved value. We have put a team together to help all of our customers work through these pain points after storms and unforeseen damage to your home. Need some help, Give us a call today.
