The vinyl open-style gutters on Joe's house in Milaca, MN were falling apart after heavy winter snows and ice built up inside the trough. Once Kevin measured up the rooflines to replace the old gutters, totaling 109 feet, he began working on the plans for 4 downspouts. The longest piece, coming in at 58 feet, would need a downspout on either end to properly drain. The two other pieces, both coming in lower than 35 feet, only needed one downspout to push water away from the foundation. One downspout would be sent through the decking and hooked into an existing PVC pipe. All three other downspouts would be set up with our tip-up downspout extension so they could be easily lifted out of the way when needed. 

Joe was happy with the plan Kevin drew up and signed off on it. As the snow began to fully melt, our production department built its schedule and got Joe installed within the first two weeks of the season!

A couple of inside miters would be utilized to set up a seamed connection between two perpendicular pieces. Overall, 6 downspouts would be needed to properly drain every piece, each equipped with a wide mouth outlet to maximize the drainage capacity. 5 out of those 6 would also be set up with a tip-up downspout extension, making it very easy to move them out of the way when needed while still providing drainage past the landscaping.
